Curriculum Vitae

Born at Würzburg, Germany. He studied at the University of Würzburg (teacher for elementary and secondary school). Bavarian State Scholarship for studies at the Orff Institute/Salzburg. Teacher at "Orff Model Schools" in Munich, lecturer at the Orff Institute Salzburg. Former head of the Department of Instrumental Education at the Conservatorium of Music at Klagenfurt-Austria (Music Paedagogics, Elemental Music Education). Lecturer at the "Universität für Musik Wien" and at the Orff Institute of "Universität für Musik Mozarteum Salzburg". Author of music educational programmes on "Bayerischer Rundfunk". Now teacher at MUSIKENE ( Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco in San Sebastián, Spain). Orff-seminars and workshops in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Great Britain, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Hungary, Croatia, Portugal, Luxembourg, Colombia, China and the USA. Editor of instrumental instruction material by Schott – Music.

 

 

Course Programme

Creative ways towards making music - Orff-Schulwerk in the teaching praxis/II

Orff-Schulwerk is a creative way of learning and of making music. It includes singing, dancing and playing on the instruments. The programme gives an introduction into this pedagogical concept in an active way, letting experience the participants the role of the students but also reflect the way how to transfer this teaching system into their own professional field as a teacher. It is directed to all types of music teachers, including kindergarten, primary, secondary school and teachers of instruments.
The participants are invited to bring also their own instruments to the class.
The workshop will be structured as last year but with different didactic materials and contents
