DANCE – Principles of an artistic education
Languages: Italian, French, English
The course aims to be an open space for corporeity, a moment of study, a confrontation and analysis of the relationship between technique and creativity in the education of movement. The terrain for reflection during this seminar will be the practical experience acquired from some learning paths that have already been experimented with children in public schools. What characterizes the proposed methodological approach is a sense of continuity in the passage from technique to creative exploration, from improvisation to composition. The thematic units of movement will be simple, coherent and always recognizable. Some basic notions will be dealt with such as the perception of one’s weight, the organization of supports in the dynamic relationship of body-space-time, balance-unbalance-suspension, the beginning and end of the danced phrase. Participants will be able to find their own personal way of adding to their experiences and a diversified didactic application with the students. Non-conventional didactic materials will be utilized.
